Below there’s the info you need to find your way to and around Amersfoort:

Public transport from the train station in Amersfoort to the venue:

 

The bus station is right next to the train station in Amersfoort. Take bus no. 52 (direction Utrecht). Get off at the stop called ‘Treublaan’ in Amersfoort, after about 2 minutes. From there it’s a three minute walk to the venue in the Daam Fockemalaan. During the day, buses go frequently.

Walking to the venue from the train station will take about 20 to 25 minutes: follow the ‘Koningin Wilhelminalaan until you reach the roundabout, turn right to the Prins Frederiklaan. Go all the way to the end and cross the junction to the Daam Fockemalaan.

There’s also the possibility of taking a taxi or the cheaper ‘train taxi’. For this last option you will need to be able to show your train ticket of that day.

 

 

To the venue by car:

Take the A12 and then exit at ‘Maarsbergen/Woudenberg’ (N226), to take direction ‘Amersfoort’ (N226). At the roundabout continue in direction ‘Amersfoort’ (N224). At the junction with lights take the N227 (again direction ‘Amersfoort’). Continue until the lights past the A28, past the viaduct and take a left onto the circular road. Follow direction ‘Soest / Dierenpark’. After about 200 metres, just after the Shell gas station, take a left at the first lights. Here you see the driveway which leads to the convent ‘Onze Lieve Vrouwe Ter Eem’.

 

Staying in the vicinity of the venue:

 

You cannot stay at the venue itself, but there are plenty of options nearby. You can choose to stay in the nearby village Soest, or in the centre of Amersfoort itself. The distance to the venue from Soest or from the centre of town is roughly the same.

 

In Soest, travelling by car or by bus:

 

From these B&B’s and hotels you can easily get to the venue with your own car or with the bus. Take bus no. 70 (direction Amersfoort) from Birkstraat. It’s about 8 minutes in the bus, and then a three minute walk to the venue.

In Amersfoort, travelling by car or by bus:

 

From the edge of the centre of town you take bus no. 70 to the bus station and from there you take bus no.52. Get off at the Treublaan, and walk south for three minutes into the Daam Fockemalaan. The venue is at no.22, to your right. See above, at the section ‘Public transport from the train station in Amersfoort to the venue’ for a map of the last part of the journey, the walk form the bus stop to the venue. Total travel time is about twenty minutes.
